Literature Organizer

Friends ! Thank you for everything> I am looking for a university ( anywhere in the world ) giving accredited PhD degree in English Literature via distance learning> I do not have the means to travel and I can afford only low tution fees. You might ask why > I live abroad I can’t go back because it is totally unsafe.Life here is very competitive and I need to fight> Is there a chance to such college ? Please help > I thought of getting a grant > I failed > I do not know how to do it

I’m interested in pursuing a PhD degree in English (preferably ethnic literature). I was wondering how often professors at small liberal arts schools work each week? I don’t want to work at a large Research I university and I understand that that involves a lot more research- is that correct? I would really prefer to teach.
