What are the pros and cons to being a Spanish professor?
I would appreciate any responses regarding this question. I am interested in knowing how people fare with a PhD in Spanish Literature. How has the experience been for you? Or, do you know someone who has done this, and how has the experience been for that person?

I need to do a research assignment on a recurring theme in literature. I have chosen ‘obsession’ and now need to come up with some good examples of novels, films, song lyrics, plays etc any Literature which have this as a theme.

What should I read next on Project Gutenberg?
Loved Jane Eyre, Daddy Long-legs, everything by L.M. Montgomery, and everything by Louisa Alcott. Adored Pride and Prejudice, but couldn’t stand anything else by Jane Austen. The Elsie Dinsmore novels were terrible, but I devoured them anyway. Now I’m bored, and stuck with *shudder* anime and fan fiction. Save me, 19th century literature specialists!
